s we begin the novel, learn about Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, and San Francisco! Then you will create a postcard about a "fictional visit" based on what you have learned.
1. Click on all of the links below to learn as much as you can.
2. Take notes (make a list of 2-3 facts per link) *not including Animoto* about interesting facts/info on a saved WORD document; include 3-5 pictures you could use for the front of a post card. - Save these to your picture file
3. We will create a postcard here Be sure to edit for grammar, usage, and mechanics!
4. Print your postcard. Then insert one picture for the postcard onto a WORD doc; print 1 of your pictures, cut, and use a glue stick to finish your post card. PICTURE SIZE: 4.07 X 5.68
Your postcard will be graded on:
  • correct information for each section/followed directions
  • Use writing styles: appositive, inverted order adjective, multiple prepositional phrase and vivid verb!
